Game of Thrones leads the race with 24 Emmy nominations

The nominations for 2015 Emmy awards have been announced and Game of Thrones has come out on the top with 24 nominations, including the one for Outstanding Drama Series. Game of Thrones is followed by American Horror Story: Freak Show which has got 19 nominations and Olive Kitteridge with 13.

  • Outstanding Drama Series
  • Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series – Peter Dinklage
  • Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series – Lena Headey & Emilia Clarke
  • Outstanding Writing For A Drama Series – David Benioff & D.B. Weiss
  • Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series – Diana Rigg as Lady Olenna Tyrell
  • Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series – David Nutter

Sadly there has been no nomination for Outstanding Leading Actor or Actress for Game of Thrones as all of them are dead. However there are many more categories in which Game of Thrones has received nominations. You can check the nominations on the Emmy site.
